Epic Week

March 7, 2010 @ 11:24 pm

I think the title says it all.

This week was one of the quickest, but undoubtedly one of the best I’ve had since parking myself back home in Wichita. Since lists are kinda my thing:

  • Chopped $50 a month off my cable bill
  • Received two Invisible Creature posters in the mail (here’s 1 and 2)
  • Bought an Xbox
  • …and Netflix
  • Ate dinner with my parents
  • Designed, sliced and styled a website without any help at work
  • Managed to get a large order reprinted (and refunded!)
  • Got a new keyboard at the office
  • Received Flaunt, the awesome portfolio book in which I am honored to be featured
  • Knocked out several freelance shirt designs for All Seasons Sportswear
  • Painted on some canvas (which I’ll be finishing and posting about soon!)
  • Ate some delicious Italian food, played psychedelic mini golf and saw Alice in Wonderland in 3D on a double date
  • Enjoyed the Fake Patty’s Day celebration in Manhattan
  • Watched Zach Galifianakis hosting SNL
  • Snuggled on the couch with Mr. Runner
  • Came home to a nice check in my mailbox and the smell of rain

Simply amazing.

Now, it’s time to get to my first official Netflix dvd: Season 1 of Six Feet Under. I’m still getting over the season 4 finale of Dexter, so perhaps seeing more Michael C. Hall in my life will ease me out of the shock. If anyone has some movie or series recommendations to put in my flix cue, send ‘em my way.

5 Thoughts

  1. 21 Grams, Memento, In Bruges, This is Spinal Tap, The Last King of Scotland, Stay, Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, With Honors. Highly Recommend you see these if you already haven’t.

  2. Sorry, Freaks and Geeks, and The State for series. That is all.

  3. Adam says:

Catch up on Chuck. That is all.

  4. Doug says:

District 9 was a bit of a let down. Don’t watch it. However I did get 9, the animated movie from Tim Burton. If you like the Nightmare before Christmas, you’ll like this one. Layer Cake was pretty sweet. Oh and of course, Inglorious Bastards.

  5. Aubrey Jo says:

Mad Men. I mean if you like advertising and a little (cough cough loots of cough) deception you will obvs loooove this show. I’m on season 3 and I’ve had to put it on hault b/c of that silly thing called Studio. ughhh
